The Avanti Hospitals are preparing for the implementation McKesson’s Paragon electronic medical record (EMR) in June 2012. The Paragon EMR will bring many clinical and operational improvements to Coast Plaza Hospital, including seamless physician access to patient information.
As with any new computer system, this will also require many changes for our employees and physicians. To ensure Coast Plaza is prepared for the new system, Avanti is offering extensive training for teams throughout May and June. Our staff is excited about the change and looking forward to incorporating an electronic medical record into their daily workflows. While the first few days with the new system may create a few bumps in the road, the Hospital teams are working together to ensure that patient care is not impacted during this transition.
In the coming months, Coast Plaza Hospital will share more on how the Paragon EMR is helping our physicians and our caregivers provide high quality, efficient care for our patients.
